"Handbook of Operation, Service and Overhaul Instructions with Parts Catalog, Turret Models Martin 250CH-1C, Martin 250CH-2C", Army Air Forces Manual AN 11-45B-38, 1 October 1945, Revised 1 July 1948, 146 pages. These turrets were designed for use on the "Martin Mariner" model PBM-5 and PBM-5A. The 250CH-1C is designed for deck mounting while the 250CH-2C is intended for mounting in the tail position. As so many of these turrets, this used the M-2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun. Manual has 8 chapters and 3 appendices: Introduction, Description, Installation, Operation, Service Inspection Maintenance and Lubrication, Disassembly Inspection Repair and Reassembly, Test Procedure, Cleaning Packing or Storage after Overhaul, Appendices: Fitting and Tubing Tables, Flow Diagrams, and Wiring Diagrams.
